Independent Professional Judgment

HLISTIX does not independently diagnose disease, prescribe or select treatment, generate a patient-specific treatment plan or treatment directive, or replace the independent professional judgment of the practitioner. The practitioner independently reviews the material, determines its relevance, and retains full professional judgment.

Alongside it, HLISTIX provides access to research and educational reference materials that practitioners can independently explore and review.

Certain practitioner-facing functions may use practitioner-entered medical information to surface contextually relevant research and professional reference information. HLISTIX does not independently diagnose, prescribe or select treatment, generate a patient-specific treatment plan or treatment directive, or replace independent professional judgment.

Applicable practitioner-facing evidence-support functions are designed around the Non-Device Clinical Decision Support criteria described in section 520(o)(1)(E) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and FDA's January 2026 Clinical Decision Support Software Guidance. Practitioners can independently review the basis of surfaced information through source provenance and contextual explanations. HLISTIX has not been cleared, approved or endorsed by FDA and does not claim such status.

Healthcare Data

Designed with HIPAA Readiness in Mind

HLISTIX's architecture was designed with HIPAA privacy and security requirements in mind, including protection of healthcare-related information, controlled access, encryption and auditability. This architecture is intended to support a future HIPAA-enabled deployment.

HLISTIX does not currently offer a HIPAA-supported deployment and does not currently enter into Business Associate Agreements with customers. Users whose intended use would require HLISTIX to act as a HIPAA Business Associate should not process PHI subject to HIPAA through the Service unless and until such use is expressly enabled under an applicable agreement.

Chinese Medicine Workflow

Designed Around Current Chinese Medicine Professional Competencies

HLISTIX's Chinese medicine documentation workflow is structured around competency areas reflected in the 2026 NCBAHM Exam Content Outlines, effective September 1, 2026. The workflow supports practitioners in documenting assessment, pattern differentiation, treatment reasoning, safety considerations, treatment evaluation and professional communication using a structure familiar from their professional education and certification framework.

HLISTIX does not perform the practitioner's clinical reasoning or select treatment. The practitioner remains responsible for assessment, diagnosis/pattern differentiation, treatment decisions and patient care.
